Job summary

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a fixed-term open rank BC/BE physiatrist to join our expanding academic department. The role encompasses skilled nursing facility rehabilitation, hospital consultations, and outpatient care in the Raleigh, NC region, with additional time for research and education.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible/board-certified in PM&R.
• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Passion for skilled nursing facility rehabilitation and NC medical licensure or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide SNF rehabilitation, hospital consultations, and outpatient care.
• Collaborate with APPs, Rex SNF and Rehab staff, and administration.
• Possibly serve as Medical Director of the Raleigh Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility.
• Participate in educational, research, and quality improvement activities; on-call responsibilities may be required.
