Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a fixed-term, open rank BC/BE physiatrist to join the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The role blends skilled nursing facility rehab, hospital consultations, and outpatient care in the Raleigh region.

The physician will serve as Medical Director of the Raleigh SNF and collaborate with APPs and rehab staff, with academic time for education and research.

Qualifications

• Board eligible/board certified in PM&R.
• MD, DO, or equivalent required.
• Must have NC medical license or willingness to obtain state license.
• Fellowship trained cancer rehabilitation physiatrist experience is a plus (outpatient cancer rehab, SNF rehab, and palliative care).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing facility rehabilitation and hospital consultations.
• Deliver outpatient rehabilitation services in the Raleigh, NC region.
• Serve as Medical Director of the Raleigh Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility.
• Collaborate with APPs, Rex SNF staff, and administration; participate in education and research activities.
