Job description

Description
The Mortgage Fulfillment Underwriter ensures that reviewed assets meet all applicable investor guidelines through a comprehensive knowledge of requirements and regulations. The Underwriter is responsible for maintaining quality and accuracy in decision-making.

The Underwriter will:

  1. Decide on a full range of mortgage loans, preferably including FHA loans
  2. Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  3. Collaborate with clients to prepare mortgage applications and resolve any issues
  4. Coordinate with compliance officers to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local regulations
  5. Approve or deny mortgages promptly
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned
  7. Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization's culture and values

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and automated underwriting systems
  • Familiarity with mortgage laws and regulations, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
  • Knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage guidelines is helpful

Experience Level: Expert

Pay Range: $31.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment status and tenure. Benefits may include:
