Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX, is seeking a PRN Program Therapist to join the treatment team, providing continuous patient care and role-modeling to patients. The position may involve organizing activities, charting, and scheduling, with supervision from the Program Director.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related mental health field, plus possession of a state credential (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LPC Intern/LMFT-A/LMFT) and CPR and CPI training prior to direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills.
• State license as LMSW, LCSW, LPC Intern, LPC, LMFT-A or LMFT. Staff are encouraged to pursue LCSW licensure.
• CPR Certification and CPI training in accordance with New Hire policy must be completed prior to providing direct patient care services.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

PHP Program Therapist

The Program Therapist is an active member of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role-modeling to patients. This is a generic position (working with either adults or adolescents). Other duties include organizing patient activities, filing, charting, calculating point sheets and levels, driving vans, and completing schedules. All program therapist work under the direction of the Program Director and/or Assistant Program Director. This is not a remote position.
