Ciklum is seeking a PHP Engineer to join our team in Spain. You will work in a cross-functional development team on backend features for various projects, with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.

Based in Málaga, the role offers a hybrid work setup. You will engage in SDLC processes, participate in interviews, and contribute to building scalable solutions for international clients.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of OOP, SOLID, and GRASP.
• Proficient in documenting complex software solutions and diagrams.
• Extensive expertise in PHP and essential libraries/tools.
• Proficiency with Laravel and knowledge of internal architecture.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL database design and high-performance queries.
• Experience developing monolithic and distributed systems.
• Advanced PHPUnit and testing frameworks experience.
• Deployment patterns, tools, and cloud infrastructure knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex backend features from conception through deployment.
• Write clean, secure, scalable, and well-documented code adhering to standards.
• Perform comprehensive code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in the SDLC including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Uphold and enhance engineering standards, and support team adoption.
• Engage in technical interviewing processes.
