Job summary

MailerLite is seeking a PHP engineer to maintain and implement new features across our products. You will work on a remote-first team that serves millions of users worldwide and shape scalable, high-quality software.

You must have 4+ years of PHP/JS/HTML experience, be comfortable with VueJS, Laravel, Redis, and ElasticSearch, and communicate in English. The role supports flexible remote work from around the world and offers strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with PHP, JavaScript and HTML.
• Experience with at least one of these frameworks: VueJS, React or AngularJS (we use VueJS).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Ability to write and optimize complex queries in SQL.
• Knowledge of Redis and queues.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with PHP, JavaScript and HTML
• You are comfortable with large codebases as well as the latest tools and technologies
• Experience with at least one of these frameworks: VueJS, React or AngularJS (we use VueJS)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Ability to write and optimize complex queries in SQL
• Knowledge of Redis and queues
• Can work across codebases and platforms
• Ability to write clean code with test coverage
• Ability to build scalable applications
• Self-starter with an investigative mindset for thinking out of the box
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• A sense of personal responsibility
• Familiarity with other languages is a plus (NodeJS, Golang, Ruby)
• Knowledge of any PHP framework is a plus (we mostly use Laravel)
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch is a plus
• You’re based in the EMEA or Central Asia Team
