Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer with a strong background in eCommerce platforms and hands-on backend development. This role will focus on customizing and optimizing a commerce platform integrated with Epicor ECC and Magento 2.0. While Magento or Epicor experience is a plus, the primary need is for a senior-level PHP expert who can own the backend logic and integration challenges across the system.

This is a high-impact, hands-on development role involving both new feature development (50%) and support/troubleshooting (50%).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend PHP code for eCommerce and ERP integrations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to customize and optimize Magento/Epicor-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and integration failures.
• Support the migration effort from Epicor ECC to a cloud-based environment.
• Write clean, scalable, and modular PHP code adhering to best practices.
• Be available during core work hours for coordination, meetings, and task assignment (12 PM – 5 PM CT).

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on PHP development experience in production environments.
• Strong background in eCommerce platforms (Magento, WooCommerce, custom carts, etc.).
• Experience developing custom backend modules or system integrations.
• Solid understanding of MySQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with integrating or working alongside ERP platforms (Epicor ECC preferred).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities in PHP environments.
• Excellent communication and a proactive, independent working style.

Nice to Have:

• Epicor ERP or ECC integration experience.
• Previous work in manufacturing or medical device companies.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools or DevOps processes for PHP applications.
