Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Laser Phototherapy Technician to assist our dermatology division in providing laser phototherapy treatments to patients across different healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment, preparing patients for treatment, and monitoring patients during and after treatment, while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient consultations to determine suitability for laser phototherapy.
  • Prepare patients for treatment, including numbing creams and protective eyewear.
  • Operate laser equipment to deliver treatment as directed by the dermatologist, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Monitor patients during and after treatment and document any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Maintain laser equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment logs.
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding laser phototherapy treatment and aftercare.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals at various facilities to provide optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Healthcare certification as a medical assistant (MA), licensed practical nurse (LPN), or certified nursing assistant (CNA).
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and procedures.
  • Knowledge of laser equipment and its operation is desirable but not necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to detail and strong record‑keeping skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to different facilities and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent travel to various healthcare facilities to provide laser phototherapy treatment.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds; adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
