NY Creates located in Albany, NY, seeks a Photonics Integration Engineer to drive the Silicon Photonics MPW program and related sponsored projects. You will contribute to manufacturability, ensure repeatable performance, and interface with customers and partners to meet project goals.

The role emphasizes process integration, data analysis, and collaboration across teams to advance AIM Photonics platforms and related technologies.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD with relevant engineering discipline and years of industry experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provide integration support for the AIM Photonics MPW program
• Handle and manage third-party design IP
• Perform design rule checking (DRC) and waiver reviews
• Collect and analyze metrology data and inline test results
• Prepare process/measurement change requests and CRB documentation
• Collaborate with customers and partners to define requirements
• Participate in sustaining and continuous improvement activities
• Coordinate with vendors including mask houses and packaging providers
• Author technical reports, publications or patents
