Job summary

Monarch Quantum is seeking a Senior Principal Project Engineer to build our foundational capabilities from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment. You will lead photonic system development projects, drive engineering best practices, and represent the company in customer interactions while ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in startup or technology company.
• Proven track record leading photonic system development projects using structured development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of development projects, manage scope, schedule and budget, and liaise with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage matrixed technical team through bottlenecks and changes, maintaining productivity and focus on success.
• Provide technical leadership and develop best engineering practices, identify risks and opportunities and manage them across projects.
• Ensure project execution per defined processes, document milestones and oversee test activities and installations.
