Job summary

Jobtailor in California is seeking a senior leader to direct production test activities for PIC devices. The role will manage a team of engineers and technicians, expanding test capacity and onboarding new hires to meet rising production targets in Sunnyvale and South San Jose.

You will coordinate with InP wafer fab sites, define testability requirements with R&D, and drive improvements in test infrastructure, hardware, and software to support NPIs and existing product lines.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years photonic or opto-electronic devices industry work experience.
• Experience in managerial role(s).
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to hire and expand team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production PIC test capacity and capability.
• Meet growing production numbers and deadlines with InP wafer fab locations in Sunnyvale and South San Jose.
• Expand test lab infrastructure in the new large lab space.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to improve test efficiency, capability, and capacity of wafer- and die-level test infrastructure.
• Manage hardware and engineering resources and set priorities.
• Expand the PIC Production Test team.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians.
• Source and hire PIC Test engineers and technicians.
• Establish onboarding and training processes for new hires.
• Mentor and coach team members.
• Support continual development of production test hardware and software.
• Define and implement detailed testability requirements with the R&D Test team.
• Work with Operations to ensure NPI test hardware, software, and procedures meet production requirements.
• Support existing product line testing through product test-related ECOs and CNs.
