OpenLight Photonics is offering a paid internship in Goleta, California. You will work with senior Photonic Systems Engineers to evaluate PIC hardware, build test stations, and gather system-level data to support customer adoption of our Silicon Photonics platform.

You will write Python code to automate tests, collect data, and create test reports, collaborating with a small team in a hybrid schedule (three days in office). This role provides hands-on experience with high-end lab equipment.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
• Basic software coding experience.
• Basic experience operating lab equipment.
• Self-starting and independent but able to collaborate with team members.

Responsabilidades

• Build and modify system level photonic test stations including PIC evaluation boards, optical spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other high-end test equipment.
• Write Python code to execute and automate test programs.
• Collect and analyze data, create test reports, and provide clear conclusions.
