Job summary

Vishay Applied Thin Film Products in Fremont, CA seeks an entry-level photolithography technician in a fast-paced lab environment. You will perform photolithography operations, develop processes, and assist with cleaning, etching, plating and patterning substrates. Training is provided to build skills in handling chemicals and operating measurement tools.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and the ability to follow detailed instructions while working with a diverse team in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in photolithography processes, with an emphasis on development and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using equipment such as microscopes, calipers, Asher, X-Ray, Beta scope, Alpha step, masking aligners, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, review critical criteria, and follow special instructions.
• Proficiency in data entry (e.g., quality data/results) and a proven working knowledge of computer usage.
• Proficient in English with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize job flows, schedule tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
• Well-organized and able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constantly changing assignment.
• Experience in handling chemicals.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and other safety procedures.
• Prior experience working for an ISO 9000 certified company.
• Entry-level position with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on in a fast paced clean room environment, utilizing equipment and chemicals to perform photolithography works.
• Assist in the development and execute photolithography processes to meet customer specifications & manufacturing process flows from customer requirements.
• Cleaning, etching, plating and patterning substrates in both manual and semi-automated photolithographic processes.
• Use of various photo-resists and chemicals; develop and plating processes; operate semi-automated and manual etching; operate pattern aligners and measurement tools.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and maintain a clean environment.
• Work with chemicals and hazardous waste; lift 10–20 lb bottles as needed.
