WVUE, FOX 8, is looking for a creative, aggressive, and visual photojournalist to join our award-winning news team in New Orleans. This is a unique opportunity to work in one of America's most exciting cities and a great news town.

If you have an eye for powerful pictures and an ear for great sound, this is the job for you. The candidate must be able to work in a highly functioning, experienced, talented newsroom.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of news photography.
• Flexible work hours required; must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends, and possible overtime hours.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed; writing skills a plus.
• Must be willing to work in New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities

• Responsible for gathering video, sound, and stills for all FOX 8 multimedia platforms
• Edit video and sound for all multimedia platforms
• You will be responsible for maintaining assigned gear
• Operating ENG trucks and bonded cellular live devices (Live U)
• Post on all FOX 8 digital platforms
• Use Skype/other mobile live devices
• Drive a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned
