About The Role

The Associate Development Program is a paid full-time (temporary) experience designed for new or recent graduates seeking to grow their professional sports experience. It offers structured professional development and hands-on learning.

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented associate to support photography and digital asset management. This hybrid role involves capturing and editing compelling photography, managing our visual media library, and supporting content needs across platforms. The position is based at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL (Halas Hall).

2025 Associate Development Program Dates: Monday, July 7, 2025 – Friday, May 22, 2026

Responsibilities
Digital Asset Management
  • Assist in maintaining the team’s photo and video archive, ensuring content is organized, tagged, and searchable
  • Manage a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
  • Uphold file naming conventions, metadata standards, and storage practices
  • Tag and catalog assets for internal accessibility
Photography & Editing
  • Capture high-quality images at practices, games, events, and initiatives
  • Assist with game day coverage and real-time image delivery
  • Edit and retouch photos for digital platforms
  • Build and curate photo galleries
  • Ensure images align with brand standards
  • Apply metadata and captions for archiving
Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Partner with creative, digital, social media, marketing, and other teams to distribute media
  • Fulfill media asset requests with proper rights and clearances
  • Assist in delivering B-roll, highlights, and imagery to stakeholders
Event Coverage & Real-Time Support
  • Support live content ingestion during events
  • Enable rapid turnaround of high-priority images
  • Manage workflows between teams
Quality Control & Compliance
  • Ensure content meets brand and legal standards
  • Maintain backups and follow protocols to prevent asset loss
  • Manage image rights and licensing
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Media Management, Digital Media, Communications, or related field
  • Experience in photography and digital asset management (sports industry preferred)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of metadata, archiving, and DAM best practices
  • Experience with file management tools (e.g., Photo Mechanic, Adobe Bridge)
  • Familiarity with social media and visual trends
  • Understanding of image rights and licensing laws
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to travel locally and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
