Qualifications

• Proven experience capturing and editing professional photography across multiple industries.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work including food, product, lifestyle, branding, and portrait photography.
• Advanced proficiency in Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar photo editing software.
• Strong understanding of lighting techniques for indoor and outdoor environments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Tampa and surrounding areas.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when working with clients.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos at client shoot days following pre-approved shot lists given from our team, creative briefs, and inspiration references.
• Photograph a variety of subjects, including restaurants, food, and beverage offerings; products and retail merchandise; lifestyle and brand content; headshots and team portraits; commercial spaces and events.
• Edit and deliver polished, professional images that align with each client's brand guidelines.
• Select and organize the strongest images from each shoot.
• Collaborate closely with our content and social media teams to produce engaging visual content.
• Maintain consistency in quality and style across multiple projects.

OVERVIEW

Modern Media Group is seeking a talented freelance photographer to join our growing creative team. We work with a diverse range of businesses throughout the Tampa Bay area, including restaurants, hospitality brands, real estate companies, fitness studios, service based businesses, retail businesses, and more!

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of photography fundamentals, including lighting, composition, editing, and visual storytelling. This person should be comfortable capturing a variety of content styles, from food and product photography to lifestyle imagery, professional headshots, branded content, and commercial marketing assets. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and communication skills are essential.

Candidates must be local to Tampa, FL and surrounding areas. This is a part-time contract position with ongoing opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Capture high-quality photos at client shoot days following pre-approved shot lists given from our team, creative briefs, and inspiration references.
