Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Photochromic Lab Technician to support performance testing in our advanced materials lab. This position involves working closely with formulation and development chemists to provide accurate and timely testing data for photochromic materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in lab instrumentation, and committed to maintaining high standards of data quality and process control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform photochromic performance tests on coatings and related materials.

• Manage all aspects of the testing cycle including test entry, scheduling, execution, and data reporting.

• Provide clear and timely feedback to internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of test data.

• Conduct instrument quality checks and troubleshoot as necessary.

• Follow established quality control practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Science or Technical degree with 3–4 years of relevant industry experience.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.

• Ability to work independently during overnight hours and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with lab instrumentation, quality control, and troubleshooting required.

• Knowledge of photo-chemistry and coating technology is a plus.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, VBA, and data analysis software.

Additional Requirements:

• Criminal background check and drug screening are mandatory prior to onboarding.

• Candidate must be comfortable working 3rd shift hours in a laboratory environment.
