Job summary

Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, MO is seeking a seasonal Photo Sales Associate to capture fun guest photos and provide a memorable guest experience. This summer position ends around August 17th, with overtime and weekend coverage as needed.

You will handle basic transactions, assist guests with photo purchases, and help maintain the sales area and facilities. No formal experience required, but customer service skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Math skills to handle transactions quickly and accurately.
• Basic computer skills for point-of-sale and photo editing.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a busy environment.
• Flexible to cover shifts including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Capture guest photos and provide a high-quality guest experience.
• Assist guests with purchasing photos and meet sales targets.
• Greet guests and perform photo shoots as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area.
• Work overtime and cover shifts at affiliate properties as required.

Job Overview:

Wonders of Wildlife located in Springfield, MO is looking for a friendly seasonal PHOTO SALES ASSOCIATE to join our team! This person will capture fun interactive photos of our guests, while providing a positive guest experience of the Aquarium and Museum. This is a summer seasonal position that will end around August 17th.

Essential Functions:

• Learning and adapting to photography styles, with a motivation to excel in sales performance.
• Demonstrating ability to meet sales targets in a busy environment.
• Exercising initiative and problem solving skills.
• Professional communication skills.
• A fearless approach and positive attitude to capturing memories and creating exceptional experiences for our guests.
• Performing all tasks as required, which could include photo editing and adjustments in Phoenix, greeting and taking photos of guests.
• Organizing and maintaining facilities, to include, but not limited to lab, sales area, storage area, and production areas.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Willing to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties.
• Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
• Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime.
• Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business.
• Must be able to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties.
• Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

• Customer Service experience preferred but not required.
• Mathematical skills and the ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately.
• Basic computer skills – Using basic computer hardware and creative software.
• Requires walking/standing; lifting, stooping, forward bending, crouching and sitting.
• Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc, will be taken into consideration.
• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
