Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) is seeking a Phone Technician with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join our Network Service Division in Chantilly, VA. The role encompasses installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VoIP and legacy telephone hardware.

You will configure telephony features, manage call routing and voicemail, and travel locally between customer sites in Northern Virginia for project work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cabling methodologies, industry standards, and cable run lists.
• Experience installing endpoints including VoIP phones, desktops, printers and switches.
• Experience diagnosing hardware, network, and telecom problems.

Responsibilities

• Support telephone installation, maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting for VoIP and legacy systems.
• Pull, terminate, and dress cabling in line with standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues including drops and malfunctions.
• Provision and configure telephony features such as call routing and voicemail.
• Local travel between customer buildings in Northern Virginia with possible temporary assignments.

Job description

We are actively hiring a Phone Technician w/ TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join our Network Service Division, working in Chantilly, VA.

You will be responsible for providing program support:

• Support all facets of telephone installation, maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting a variety of telephone hardware (VoIP and legacy systems).
• Execute infrastructure tasks, including pulling, terminating, and dressing cabling in strict accordance with industry regulations and Sponsor standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including faulty connections, dropped calls, and hardware malfunctions.
• Provision and configure telephony features, including call routing, voicemail systems, extensions, and standard phone features.
• Local travel is required between customer buildings throughout Northern Virginia, with the potential for temporary assignments to alternate locations in support of special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and reading/understanding cable run lists.
• Experience with installing endpoints including but not limited to desktop IT equipment, printers, VoIP and digital phones, network switches.
• Experience resolving technical problems and answering queries involving computer hardware, network, and telecommunications systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with implementation on the Sponsor's network LAN infrastructure.
• Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 25% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices majority of the time, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
• Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.

Salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000
