Job summary

XZ CPA PLLC in North Phoenix is seeking a skilled senior accountant to join our established CPA firm. In-person is preferred but some hybrid can be an option. We offer full benefits for full-time employees and a supportive environment with long-term stability and loyal clients.

Duties include financial analysis, tax return preparation for business, personal and trust, and tax filing assistance. Flexible options for full-time or part-time employment with a balance-friendly schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of most recent experience in tax and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax-basis accounting.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and financial statement preparation using QuickBooks.
• Prepare and review business, personal and trust tax returns
• Assist in 1099 and payroll filing, conduct tax research and respond to IRS letters, assist in tax planning, etc.
