Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Lab Assistant to support specimen processing and analysis on a Tue–Sat shift (3:00 AM – 11:30 AM) with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include receiving/sorting specimens, data entry, equipment checks, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in a production, assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environment.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data enter specimen and patient information
• Ensure lab equipment is functioning and perform minor maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties
• Follow all SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards
