Responsibilities

• Completes a 12 week on-the-job training program in phlebotomy and outpatient access administrative duties.
• Performs functions associated with patient information processing for laboratory visits.
• Ensures accurate patient demographics and insurance information are collected and verified.
• Label samples in front of the patient per protocol and perform venipuncture following safety protocols.
• Greets patients to provide a positive laboratory experience and verifies patient identity using two identifiers.
• Maintains PHI privacy per HIPAA regulations and ensures waiting area cleanliness and order.
• Completes mandatory trainings including LMS and phlebotomy-related coursework.
• Interacts with patients and colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
