Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking individuals to join as phlebotomy assistants in Liverpool, NY. You will participate in the blood collection process, transport and set up equipment, and create a welcoming environment for donors while training in phlebotomy.

Training is paid and no prior medical experience is required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, customer service experience, and a valid driver’s license; strong attention to detail and ability to work flexible hours are

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience and strong verbal communication required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record is required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and manage long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors and share how donations help others.
• Create a welcoming, friendly environment to encourage repeat donors.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure blood collection meets standards.
• Assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites; may drive Red Cross vehicles.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
