Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection and accession receiving. The role focuses on phlebotomy and specimen collection; may involve other basic technical and clerical tasks to support lab operations.

Responsibilities include obtaining blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks, verifying IDs, processing samples, and communicating with patients and departments to ensure accurate testing and timely results.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED required (CA); preferred in OR & HI.
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.
• CPT I or CPT II or MLT license required in CA; preferred in OR & HI.
• BLS certification required per AH policy.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens by venipunctures and finger sticks.
• Verifies specimen identification and appropriateness of sample type/volume for testing.
• Processes samples using aseptic technique and prepares paperwork for testing and reference labs.
• Confers with patients to obtain information and explain procedures.
• Communicates with other departments and physicians to facilitate workflow.
• Monitors and maintains equipment per regulations and coordinates with technical staff.
