Job summary

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to department policies. Six months phlebotomy experience or Phlebotomy Technician certification is preferred, with a weekend work commitment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow department policies.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Obtains specimens using cheek swab technique.
• Labels samples, sends specimens to the laboratory, and maintains essential records.
• Maintains record of tests performed and samples taken.
• Enters and retrieves computer data.
• Delivers samples to off-site draw locations and laboratories.
