Job summary

ARUP Laboratories, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a Phlebotomist to support patient identification, specimen collection, labeling, and timely delivery to the clinical laboratory. You will perform routine and advanced venipuncture and point-of-care testing across various locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior phlebotomy experience is preferred. COVID and flu vaccination or exemptions are required before starting this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.
• Must be able to maintain department phlebotomy and quality requirements.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced venipuncture, capillary, and urine collections according to department standards.
• Accurately labeling and properly handling specimens.
• Promptly delivering specimens to the clinical laboratory.
• Performs neonatal and pediatric phlebotomy as assigned.
• Performs bedside (point of care) testing and prepares specimens for delivery.
