Job summary

Millennium Physician Group, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for our Plant City, FL location. The role involves drawing blood, labeling specimens, and preparing samples for testing while ensuring patient records are accurate.

The position emphasizes delivering excellent patient experiences in a fast-paced lab setting. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture and capillary punctures, following ID protocols, and maintaining sample integrity and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or M.A. certification or certificate from a phlebotomy program.
• 2+ years of experience in Lab preferred.
• Understand labeling/ID protocol, and knowledge of common lab tests, sample types, and vacutainers.
• Understand Biohazard, OSHA safety regulations for medical offices, and Universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic.
• Identifies patient following protocol.
• Prepares samples for processing with correct label and bar code and inspects vials.
• Reconciles outstanding sample report at day’s end.
• Observe safety procedures and sample prep.
• Support and guide in day-to-day activities.
