Job summary

Simple Laboratories is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to draw blood and collect samples at one of our Physician Office Clinic locations. You will provide direct patient care and ensure correct sample handling to support accurate testing. The role requires calm, patient-centered interaction and precise puncture techniques.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (Saturday 8:00 AM–Noon). Independent/remote tasks may be expected, with coordination through the main lab for questions and

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or Medical Assistant with phlebotomy training.
• Reliable car with insurance for occasional deliveries or pickups.
• Flexible with availability.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
• Experience with effective puncture techniques.
• Knowledge of patient identification methods and chain of custody.
• Understanding of handling blood and fluid samples per safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and collect tissue or fluids according to procedures.
• Identify patients and verify information before puncture.
• Select venipuncture method based on patient age and health.
• Explain procedures to patients and help them stay calm.
• Label and handle samples for testing and transport.
• Maintain accurate records of specimens and tests.
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
• Interact with patients and clients in a professional manner.
