Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a Part‑time Phlebotomy Technician Instructor for the SanJuan Adult School in Sacramento, CA. Classes run Monday‑Thursday, 4:30pm‑8:00pm, onsite at Sacramento location.

You will teach phlebotomy skills, assess student performance, and prepare students for externships in labs or hospitals. A CPT license and CLIA lab experience within the last 5 years are required; prior teaching is not necessary.

Qualifications

• Current CPT License is required.
• 3 years of documented on‑the‑job experience in a CLIA lab within the last 5 years.
• No teaching experience required.

Part‑time Phlebotomy Technician Instructor – CALRegional (SanJuan Adult School – Sacramento, CA 95825)

Schedule: Monday‑Thursday, 4:30pm‑8:00pm. Location: Sacramento, CA.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Instruct students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
• Evaluate, report, and record student performance and progress.
• Prepare students in a 72‑hour class to go on to a 40‑hour externship in a lab or hospital.
• Assist students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
• Provide a professional role model for students.

Qualifications

• Current CPT License.
• Must have 3 years of documented on‑the‑job experience in a CLIA lab within the last 5 years.
• No teaching experience required.
• Proficient in all aspects of blood collection, including capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly methods.
• Comfortable speaking to large groups, multitasking, and critical thinking.
• Efficient with computers and technology.
• Organized and detail‑oriented.
