Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor in Fairfield, CA to support our education programs. This role offers a strong pay range and flexible schedules in the mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

As Lead Instructor, you will train students in phlebotomy techniques, monitor progress, and prepare learners for externships in clinical labs or hospitals. No prior teaching experience required, just expertise and passion for healthcare education.

Qualifications

• Current CPT license required.
• 3 years of documented CLIA lab on-the-job experience in last 5 years.
• No teaching experience required.
• Proficient in capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly blood collection.
• Strong presentation and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
• Evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress.
• Prepare students in a 72-hour class to go on to a 40-hour externship in a lab or hospital.
• Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
• Providing a professional role model for students

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor to join our team. We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! The Phlebotomy Technician Programs run for 3-12 weeks. Morning, day, evening, and weekend schedules are available.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Instructing students in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
• Evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress.
• Prepare students in a 72-hour class to go on to a 40-hour externship in a lab or hospital.
• Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.

• Efficient with computers and technology.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
