Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is hiring a Phlebotomy Technician. This full-time day-shift role supports inpatient blood collection at Lancaster General Hospital, working with a multidisciplinary team to provide timely, accurate specimens and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, and entry into LIS, with emphasis on safety, infection control, and high-quality service. High school diploma required; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Phlebotomist preferred.
• Experience in a health care setting and customer care helpful.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture in hospital units.
• Ensure patient safety by correct identification and sample labeling.
• Operate LIS and laboratory equipment as trained.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Contribute to onboarding and CAP maintenance.
