Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist Technician to join the General Lab team. This role involves phlebotomy procedures, patient interaction, and specimen processing across day/evening/night/weekend shifts at Medina Hospital.

As a valued member of the Medical Laboratory Team, you will perform blood collection, ensure proper labeling, and support processing and logistics, with opportunities for professional development within Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques and common practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures, follow venipuncture procedures and maintain appropriate logsheets.
• Verify order requests and identifying information prior to drawing blood or collecting the specimen/kit.
• Label all specimens collected and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
• Perform specimen processing and send out tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
• Pick up and deliver blood, other sample types and lab supplies.
• Float to multiple locations.
