Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center in East Central Ohio seeks a Phlebotomy Technician I to perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages for blood specimens in the clinical laboratory under supervision of the Laboratory Director/Manager. Duties include data entry, patient communication, and proper specimen collection across age groups.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; current BCLS (AHA) preferred; minimum 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomy Technician I primarily performs skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages for the purpose of obtaining a blood specimen for analysis in the clinical laboratory and is under supervision.
• Other duties include computer data entry, filing, telephone communication and other clerical tasks; maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
