The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Medical Technician for the Central Phlebotomy and Processing Department in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. Role includes collecting, accessioning, and processing specimens from both outpatient and inpatient populations.

Proficiency in basic written and spoken English is required. A Selective Placement Factor is required: experience performing phlebotomy on patients.

Qualifications

• Selective Placement Factor requires phlebotomy experience.
• Specialized experience: 1 year at GS-4 level or equivalent.
• Experience in technical medical laboratory support and handling tests is expected.

Responsabilités

• Collect, accession, and process specimens for outpatient and inpatient populations.
• Prepare and document test orders and results.
• Maintain accuracy in data entry and specimen labeling.
