Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and receipt biological specimens across hospital facilities, PSCs, and mobile services in Tucson and surrounding areas.

The role requires completion of a phlebotomy program and possible certification; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred. You must be able to travel between locations, handle repetitive tasks, and uphold safety and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations and cover mobile/in-office facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and receipt of biological specimens into the department.

Come do great work on behalf of better health!POSITION SUMMARYThis position may be located within a Hospital Facility, Patient Service Center (PSC), In Office Phlebotomy (IOP) or Mobile Diagnostic Services (MDS). This position may be responsible to provide coverage at multiple locations. This position is responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry into the company’s computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing and/or the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area. This includes responsibility for pre and post aspects of analytical testing. This position will also perform specified analytical testing as assigned. Follows the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORSAble to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and stretch frequently. Required to lift, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity. Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids, chemical, electrical and biological hazards. Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, holidays and overtime.
