Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a phlebotomist to collect blood and non-blood specimens, including urine and sputum, in a busy clinical lab. You will draw blood for patients from neonates to geriatrics, label samples, and operate standard laboratory equipment, while maintaining accurate documentation and patient-centered communication.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPT certification, and at least six months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) preferred.
• Minimum six months phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Consistently draw blood with minimal patient discomfort across age groups.
• Label specimens in the presence of patients.
• Operate basic lab equipment (centrifuges, label printers, scanners, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and staff.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, report distribution, and faxing.
• Collect drug screens using Chain of Custody Process when applicable.
