Job summary

Labcorp in Wichita, KS is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for tests, and ensure accurate data entry.

The role requires a high school diploma, preferred phlebotomy certification or training, and a commitment to patient service. Shift is Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–1:30 PM with rotating weekends, on-site at multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Certification from accredited agency may substitute for work experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
