Job summary

OneBlood is seeking a supervisor to lead collection staff at blood drives and branches. You will perform phlebotomy, verify donor records, and ensure adherence to policies and FDA/AABB standards. You may drive a mobile unit when assigned, supporting recruitment and collection goals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and six months of related experience, CPR, and CDL pre-qualifications for mobile work. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand and follow documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to organize work for timely completion.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to the collection staff during blood drives or at branches.
• Ensures staff follow applicable Policies and Procedures; assigns meal/break periods.
• Obtains medical history and vitals from donors and/or patients; performs phlebotomy.
• Reviews donor records and regulated documents for accuracy and completion at shift end.
• Assists with donor recruitment and supports collection goals including ALYX conversions.
• Keeps equipment operational and ensures supplies are available for drives or branches.
• Monitors deferrals and performance to identify training needs or equipment issues.
• Maintains excellent customer service and communication with Donor Recruitment staff.
• Drives a bloodmobile and other collection vehicles if assigned to mobiles.
