Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Phlebotomist in Idaho to perform venipunctures, urine collections, EKG tracings, and nasal swabs while supporting laboratory operations. The role requires high school completion and 80 hours of phlebotomy training, with home or office collections possible as needed.

The candidate will handle specimen processing, patient interaction, and clerical tasks, using the Healthland Health Solutions LIS and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required for data entry and documentation.
• Strong communication with patients, coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and maintains phlebotomy equipment stock for tests.
• Verifies patient identity and explains procedures to calm patients, including children.
• Performs venipunctures and finger/heel sticks to obtain specimens.
• Distributes specimens to the appropriate testing sections.
• Prepares patient, applies electrodes and assists with EKG prep.
• Performs clerical tasks: taking orders, billing procedures and filing.
• Uses LIS for orders, documentation, and report retrieval.
• Participates in CLIA quality assurance activities.
• Engages in quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
