Responsibilities

Perform blood draws with skill and care, ensuring patient comfort and accuracy.
Collect, label, and store specimens per established protocols.
Handle specimens, including centrifuging, freezing, and packaging for transport.
Verify test requisitions with computer labels to maintain accuracy.
Explain procedures to patients and assist with specimen collections.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment with proper decontamination and maintenance records.
Follow OSHA and DEP safety regulations and protocols.
Update patient information with careful attention to detail.
Assist with troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvements.
Answer patient inquiries over the phone and provide laboratory results when needed.
Attend required department trainings to stay current with best practices.
