Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift

Duration: 3+ Months

Shift/Time Zone: Day/7am - 1pm/EST

Location: Woodstock, GA 30189

Job Description:
  1. The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, whether for routine health checks or critical health decisions.
  2. The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
  3. Maintains patient trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
  4. Demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
  5. Assignments may vary between doctor's offices, patient service centers, or as needed by the business.
  6. Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately and timely, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
  7. Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing as per established protocols.
  8. Verifies patient demographic information and labels tubes in the presence of the patient to ensure accuracy.
  9. Maintains required records and documentation.
  10. Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
  1. Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  5. Adherence to all policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
  6. Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
  7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
  8. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  10. Superior customer focus and effective communication skills with peers, supervisors, and patients.
Training Locations:

Locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Required Education:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
  3. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
  1. Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  2. At least two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  3. Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
  4. Keyboard/data entry experience.
  5. Candidates must specify home city and commute time on their resume; rate is based on direct experience.
  6. Reliable transportation to the worksite is required; public transportation or rideshare is not considered reliable.
  7. Must be punctual, available for scheduled shifts, and able to stay for the entire shift; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may lead to termination.
  8. Verify commute time to ensure it is within 20-25 minutes of the work location.
