Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift

Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, whether for routine health checks or critical health decisions.
- The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Maintains patient trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Assignments may vary between doctor's offices, patient service centers, or as needed by the business.
- Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately and timely, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing as per established protocols.
- Verifies patient demographic information and labels tubes in the presence of the patient to ensure accuracy.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Superior customer focus and effective communication skills with peers, supervisors, and patients.
Training Locations:
Locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Candidates must specify home city and commute time on their resume; rate is based on direct experience.
- Reliable transportation to the worksite is required; public transportation or rideshare is not considered reliable.
- Must be punctual, available for scheduled shifts, and able to stay for the entire shift; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may lead to termination.
- Verify commute time to ensure it is within 20-25 minutes of the work location.
