Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients, handling blood sample collection and specimen preparation for lab testing while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and patient trust. The role involves direct patient contact, demonstrating leadership behaviors, and focusing on process excellence. Responsibilities include performing daily activities accurately, maintaining a safe environment, verifying patient information, and promoting a positive image.

Job Requirements:

1. Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
5. Adherence to policies, including dress code, safety, and excellence principles.
6. Good judgment and decision-making skills.
7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
8. Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
9. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Training and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Preferred: minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
