Job description

Job Description: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, providing a welcoming environment during health routines or health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and maintains patient trust by explaining procedures and ensuring safety and accuracy. Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information.

Under the supervision of the area supervisor, performs daily activities accurately and timely, maintains a safe environment, and manages forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures. Maintains records, promotes a positive image, and demonstrates organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:
  1. Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
  2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
  3. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
  4. Minimum 6 months of experience; 1+ years preferred.
  5. Customer service experience preferred.
  6. Keyboard/data entry skills required.
Additional Details:
  • Greet patients and assist with check-in during busy hours.
  • Assist with ordering and drawing patients as needed.
