Location: Woodland CA

Duration: 6+ Months contract with high possibility of extension

Shift/Time Zone: Monday-Friday 7:30am-11:30am with Rotational Saturday - TEMP FOR LOA

Job Description:

• Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represent the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
• The PSR I has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• The PSR I demonstrates Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Under the supervision of the area supervisor, performs daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintains a safe and professional environment.
• Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintains required records and documentation.
• Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public, demonstrating organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Knowledge of all laboratory areas is preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
