An established industry player is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist III - Float to represent the company in various healthcare settings. The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company to patients who come to Quest Diagnostics, whether as part of their routine health checks or for critical health insights. This role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
The Phlebotomist III - Float interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. This position requires providing coverage at multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities across Patient Service Centers, Mobile units, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
Leadership behaviors are essential, with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. The successful candidate may work in various environments, including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, house calls, or long-term care, and may lead or mentor other staff members.
Additional responsibilities include acting as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees and clients. The role may also involve working with high-complexity practices requiring advanced phlebotomy skills and superior customer-facing communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with multiple departments such as Sales, Laboratory Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
Position is not eligible for remote work. The role requires working in Ohio and during hours from 7AM to 5:30PM.
