Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent and a phlebotomy training program with clinical rotation or 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• MLT/MT/CLS degreed candidates with phlebotomy experience.
• Foreign trained lab personnel must provide a detailed equivalency High School evaluation at the applicant's expense.

Aufgaben

• Performs venous capillary, and line collections, and Point of Care testing for all ages to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Instructs patients on collection of various specimen types.
• Ensures accurate patient identification, specimen integrity and labeling.
• Interacts with customers in a pleasant, efficient and cooperative manner.
• Works in a fast-paced environment and trains, educates and mentors new and existing staff.
• Prioritizes work, accommodates scheduling adjustments and exercises good decision making.
• May attend Mayo Clinic phlebotomy training program.
• Participates in special projects and serves as a resource to others.
