Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or lab setting.
• California CPT I – current/active.
• BLS certification – current/active.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with proper labeling and patient ID.
• Process and prepare specimens to support accurate testing.
• Perform basic in-house/waived tests (urinalysis, pregnancy, strep, microbiology prep).
• Use point-of-care devices (HemoCue, glucometers) as applicable.
• Enter, document, and transmit lab orders through the EHR; monitor queues.
