Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Shift PRN Variable phlebotomy technician to process specimens and perform routine laboratory tasks. You may assist the Medical Technologist and handle clerical checks in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements include completion of a phlebotomy training program and 2 years of hands-on experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings; benefits apply. This role is located in the Lab department and supports a patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed a phlebotomy training program.
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine laboratory duties and clerical checks.
• Sorts, labels and records patient specimens; assists Medical Technologist as needed.
• Operates basic lab equipment and maintains inventory.
• Maintains good communication with lab staff and other departments.
• Participates in educational activities and lab projects.
