Job summary

Memorial Hospital in Marysville, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist/Lab Tech Assistant to join our full-service lab team. You will collect specimens, perform HIS data entry, and support routine lab duties while rotating to off-site labs as needed.

Requirements include a post-secondary program in Phlebotomy/Medical Assisting and preferred phlebotomy experience with relevant certifications. Shift is 1st with hours 9:00a–4:30p and 80 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Post secondary program in Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant completed.
• Experience as a laboratory phlebotomist preferred.
• National Phlebotomy Society certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and urine specimens including proper drug screen collections.
• Performs patient functions in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Operates centrifuging and analyzers as assigned.
• Communicates test results and prints reports.
• Maintains supplies and stocks storeroom.
• Assists with training of students.
• Works flexible hours to staff the department.
