Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy professional for full-time or part-time schedules across all shifts. You will perform sample processing, venipunctures, and blood specimen preparation in alignment with CMS CLIA ’88 and Piedmont policies.

Education required is a high school diploma or GED, with no experience required and 1 year of phlebotomy or related healthcare experience preferred. CPT certifications are encouraged. This on-site role supports clinical laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year of phlebotomy or related healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs and working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification (CPT) through ASCP/ASPT/NCA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks as needed.
